Today I am having a hard time typing. Yesterday our keyboard broke because the my sisters spilled water all over it. So my mom went to the thrift store to see if she could find a keyboard. She did, but it is totally weird. It is a "split keyboard". On one side is your right hand keys, and on the other side are they left hand keys. The sides are separate. The middle is like a hill because the sides are tilted so that the middle of the keyboard is higher than the ends. You can see sort of what it looks like because I downloaded a picture from Google. The things I have to write today are about inventions, because we are learning about Thomas Edison. I have to choose my 10 favorite inventions from three books we have. So here they are.
1. Frozen food. You can eat things that were grown from across the world!
2. Internet.
3. Video (or computer) games.
4. Cereal.
5. Microwave oven.

6. Teflon. This is one of my favorites. It has an amazing property: it doesn't do anything! Nothing can change it or affect it. Nuclear bombs have it lined inside of them to keep them from blowing up before they are supposed to (that is so cool). Frying pans also have it to keep food from sticking to it. Other things have Teflon, too like, heart and other human body transplants, space suits, and a lot of other stuff where you can't have a chemical reaction.

After that I'm supposed to choose three of those and explain why I like them best. So my three are:
1. Video (or computer) games. I like that best because I like computer games. We don't have any video games. I am writing in this blog so that I can play a computer game.
2. Teflon. I already stated the reasons for this.
3. The bicycle. Bike riding is fun and good exercise. I also ride my bike to my baseball games and practices to Rotary Park, because we live 1/2 mile away from it.

your uncle richard (rick) has one of those split keyboards and it is DEFINITELY hard to deal with. he likes it though.
